The Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Graduate Nurse Residency Program provides the opportunity for a gradual, supportive transition into professional nursing for newly graduated nurses. This program assists the nurses over a 4 to 6 month period to develop the clinical skills, professional judgment and critical thinking necessary to become a confident, competent practitioner in the highly complex world of acute care.
Our Residency is a comprehensive 16-week program that combines clinical experiences with a mixture of didactic presentations, computer based training, skills labs, simulated scenarios, self-directed learning modules and peer group discussions.
